4.5 Billion Dollar Phase 1 construction project to make LaGuardia Airport a premiere modern day airport for now and into the foreseeable future. Responsibilities include for the review and analysis of all scheduled work by the multiple contractors on site, to assess the impacts on airport operations with regards to facility and tenant operations, safety, revenue generation, and the all critical passenger experience. Critical emphasis is placed on proper work planning, scheduling, coordination, consideration of contingencies, and timely and accurate communications between the client, engineers and contractors.

Current construction projects include demolition and construction of a new central terminal building, concourse and aircraft gate facilities, a central heating and cooling facility, parking garage structures, airport roadway and bridge modifications, water, sewer, gas, electric and communications utilities, stormwater and drainage, environmental remediation, permit compliance, and a new electrical substation. Public Safety Center Forensic Laboratory

Management of the construction of the $20.7 million facility that serve as the Nassau County Crime Investigation Unit. The project includes offices, laboratories, an automotive unit and firing range, including all the MEP supporting these spaces.

Responsibilities include managing the general contractor as well as their 21 sub-contractors, ensuring that the work is completed as per the contract documents; coordination of construction logistics within a facility that operates 24/7; act as the Liaison between the contractor and the project management team, chairing the progress meetings, verifying the contractor invoices, and developing work-around strategies to resolve construction conflicts; manage a staff comprising of inspectors, estimators and schedulers ensuring the project scope schedule and budgets are upheld.

The Audubon Building

Engaged by the property owner to perform a condition assessment of the existing structure and to review and analyze the findings of the most recent Local Law 11 Inspection of the exterior walls of the structure. This beautiful 100 year old landmark building had many deferred maintenance issues including exterior facade violations.

As the full time construction manager, managed the rehabilitation project, including construction oversight, quality control, scheduling of the work and coordination of multiple trades, building tenants, and maintenance personnel on the site, so that the work was accomplished timely and efficiently, and with minimum inconvenience to the building tenants. All aspects of the project were centrally controlled by GEB allowing the owner to only deal with one point of information. Maintained a competent full-time management staff at the project site to administer the project at all times work was being performed.

Called upon ourstaff of Professional Engineers, Architects and Construction Managers in order to ensure that the façade rehabilitation project would address all unsafe facade conditions, such as spalling bricks, cracked masonry, or loose decorative elements in order to achieve timely compliance with LL11 filing and a safe status for the property.
