As a sub-consultant to Cameron Engineering, TSPE provided a boundary, topographic and utility survey in connection with the Sanitary Sewer Channel Crossing project for the Village of Manorhaven. Survey scope included all features (manholes, valve boxes, curbs, striping sidewalks, etc.), topography at 1ft contours, horizontal and vertical controls, and location of sanitary manholes Nos. 3 and 4 and 14 inch sewer. Our boundary survey established rights-of-way, easements and property lines/individual parcels adjacent to the area of work. The subsurface utility survey included an investigation of all subsurface utilities (sanitary, water, gas, electric, telecommunications, etc.), utility locating services, Quality Level A data and storm and sanitary structure investigations.

As a sub-consultant to Cameron Engineering, TSPE was retained to provide the following survey information for both water and wastewater improvements in the Village of Hempstead. TSPE provided land surveying & mapping services as well as subsurface utility mark-out services for over 9000 linear feet of village roadways. Our subsurface team designation and mapped all underground utilities, drainage lines, sanitary lines including lateral building connections. Our land surveying team prepared a topographic survey and right-of-way/boundary retracement survey, encompassing all surface features within the right-of-way and 50’ beyond it’s limits.

As a sub-consultant to Cameron Engineering, TSPE is providing surveying service for the Town of Oyster Bay Hicksville Downtown Revitalization Initiative: Open Space Downtown Connectivity project. This project aimed to “transform downtown neighborhoods into vibrant centers that offer a high quality of life and are magnets for redevelopment, business, job creatin and economic and housing diversity.” TSPE established two inter-visible horizontal and vertical control points at the site referenced to NAD83 and NAVD88. They also performed detailed topographic and utility surveys within the project limits as well as a boundary survey depicting parcel boundary lines, all existing right of way limits, easements, etc.

TSPE provided topographical and utility surveys for PSEG Long Island. TSPE survey crews provided professional land surveying services including on-site field observations to locate existing utilities, verify and confirm existing site features, structures and topographic features against aerial mapping provided by PSEG LI. TSPE provided aerial mapping contours at 1’ vertical intervals along with spot elevations provided at apparent changes of grade along with sufficient topographic overlap coverage beyond the overall subject project limits. Utility locations were prepared in compliance with ASCE/CI 38-02, Quality Level B. Subsurface utilities marked-out consisted of existing street lighting, electrical conduits, telecommunication and fiber optic lines, gas mains, water mains, and  storm and sanitary structures.

As a sub-consultant to Cameron Engineering, TSPE provided topographical and utility surveys for Haugland Energy at two locations in Staten Island for Northwell Health where they are installing Solar PV carports. TSPE survey crews performed a detailed topographic survey including buildings, walkways, curbs, railings, fences, bollards, walls, signs, light poles, trees, vegetation lines, pavement markings and all visible utility surface hardware. Underground utility lines were shown based on field utility mark-out and any available record information. All subsurface communications, water, gas, electric, storm and sanitary utilities were located using electromagnetic magnetic (EM), radio frequency (RF) and ground penetrating radar (GPR) equipment to determine SUE Quality Level “B” information to identify potential utility conflicts.

As a sub-consultant to Cameron Engineering, TSPE provided topographical and utility surveys for the Fire Department of New York Training Academy. TSPE survey crews will perform detailed topographic surveys within the required project limits. Detail shown shall include, but not be limited to, buildings, walkways, curbs, roadway centerlines, bulkheads, fences, bollards, walls, signs, light poles, trees, vegetation lines, pavement markings and all visible utility surface hardware. Within the project limits, existing ground elevations will be collected on a grid at 25-foot intervals, and at 25-foot intervals along all roadways. All subsurface communications, water, gas, electric, storm and sanitary utilities were located using electromagnetic magnetic (EM), radio frequency (RF) and ground penetrating radar (GPR) equipment to determine SUE Quality Level “B” information to identify potential utility conflicts.

As a sub-consultant to Ghafari Associates, TSPE provided land surveying and utility mark out services for the renovations and repairs to American Airlines Terminal 8 Center Taxilane and AOA Fence Upgrades. All airside and landside utilities within 100 feet of the fence were field designated and mapped, encompassing an area of about 8 acres of airport property. All drainage and sanitary structures were located with inverts to all pipes observed and mapped as well.

As a sub-consultant to MDG Design & Construction, TSPE provided an ASCE Quality Level B subsurface utility investigation to identify, trace, and mark the location of private and public subsurface utilities, sanitary and storm sewers within the project limits. TSPE used a variety of geophysical detection equipment to field designate each utility line servicing each of the 24 buildings located on the 34-acrea sit. As field mark-out progressed, TSPE field crews also located & mapped all utility lines utilizing survey grade GNSS equipment in order to deliver digital sketches and georeferenced CAD drawings of the project to the client and their design team.

As Prime, TSPE is providing location and mark out services of underground utilities to various municipalities in Suffolk County, NY. Upon request, TSPE is responsible for locating underground utilities on County properties and other specified locations, using all available plans and drawings and state of the art devices that utilize electromagnetic detection methods or ground penetrating radar equipment. Our crews are also equipped with the latest survey-grade GNSS equipment, which they utilize to survey and map all utility lines on each project. These surveyed points are then drafted and overlaid onto aerial imagery, resulting in a digital ‘sketch’ which allows the clients to see the location of all utilities as designated in the field.
